Last, the hole gets filled and packed. The stump goes on your burn pile or rides off on the gooseneck dump trailer. Hauling adds trips, so it adds to the price.

Burning has its own rules. State law says a burn outside a protection area needs adequate firelines, manpower and fire fighting equipment. DEQ allows land clearing burns at least 500 feet from any occupied home other than one on the property.
