Land Clearing · Duncan, OK

Take Your Land Back From the Brush

Land clearing is the heart of what we do around Duncan, Marlow, Comanche and across Stephens County. Give Oklahoma ground a few quiet years and it stops being pasture — cedar moves in, mesquite and briar thicken up, and one day you can't walk land you own. We clear it back: brush cut and cleaned up, small trees pushed out, the ground left open so you can actually use it — for cattle, for hunting, for a home site, or just to see your own fence line again.

We run track skid steers with a hydraulic brush cutter and a mini excavator, which is the right size of iron for most clearing in this country — big enough to move real brush, small enough not to wreck the ground doing it. Once it's clear we can keep it that way with regular brush hogging, follow with dirt work and grading, or cut in the driveway that makes the back of the property reachable.

What We Handle

  • Overgrown pasture and acreage cleared
  • Cedar, mesquite and thicket brush removed
  • Small trees cut and pushed out
  • Smaller stumps dug out with the excavator
  • Brush piled for burning or hauled off
  • Fence lines and property lines opened back up
  • Hunting land, home sites and pasture reclaim
  • Free on-site walk-through and quote

From Thicket to Usable Ground

Every clearing job starts with a walk. We look at what's actually growing — cedar you can cut, mesquite that wants digging, brush a cutter eats in an afternoon — and how the ground lies under it. Then the equipment does the arguing: the brush cutter shreds the thick stuff low, the skid steers push out what's too woody to mow, and the excavator digs where roots and smaller stumps need to come out instead of grow back.

What happens to the brush is your call. Most jobs pile it for burning — the cheapest route, and piles burn clean once they cure. Some want it pushed to a fence line or a draw. And when it needs to be gone entirely, we load the gooseneck dump trailer and haul it off, so what's left is ground, not a monument to the project.

Cedar and Mesquite Don't Negotiate

The brush problem in Southwest Oklahoma has two names. Eastern red cedar spreads fast, drinks deep, and shades out the grass cattle need — left alone, a scattered few become a closed cedar break in a decade, and every one of them is a torch on a burn-ban day. Mesquite is the other half: thorned, deep-rooted, and stubborn about coming back unless the root gets dealt with.

Clearing that brush isn't cosmetic. Grass comes back where cedar stood, stock tanks catch water the cedars were drinking, deer and quail work edges again, and a fire has less to climb. It's the difference between land that produces and land that just sits there getting harder to fix — and the earlier it's cut, the cheaper the job is.

Sized Right, Priced Straight

We're an owner-run outfit with the right equipment for most of the clearing this country needs — pasture reclaim, lot clearing, cedar and brush removal, opening up hunting ground. What we're not is a big timber operation, and we'll say so: if your job is heavy woods that wants forestry machinery, we'll tell you straight at the walk-through instead of beating up our equipment and your wallet learning it.

That walk-through is free. We look at the brush, talk about what you want the land to be, and give you a real number — not a per-acre guess off the phone that falls apart when the thicket turns out thicker. If it helps to phase the work — clear the front five now, the back ten next winter — we'll plan it that way. Start with a call; you'll be talking to the owner.

What You Can Expect

How a Job With Double AA Runs

From the first walk of the property to the last pass of the grade, here is exactly how it goes.

1

Walk the Property

We come look at the actual land — the brush, the trees, the ground under it, and how equipment gets in. No blind quotes over the phone; land work prices off what's really out there.

2

Straight Quote

You get a free, no-obligation quote with a real number and a real plan — what gets cleared, where the dirt goes, what happens to the brush. It holds unless the scope changes.

3

Do the Work

The equipment shows up when we said and the job runs the way we quoted it — clearing, mowing, grading, digging. Hit something unexpected, you hear about it immediately, not on the bill.

4

Walk It With You

When the work's done we walk the property together. Brush handled the way we agreed, grades draining the right way, gates and fences the way we found them. Done means you say it's done.

How much does land clearing cost in Duncan?
It depends on how thick the brush is, what's growing (cedar cuts easier than mesquite digs), how many acres, and how equipment gets in. That's why we walk the property first — the look and the quote are free, and the number is real instead of a phone guess that changes when we see the thicket.
Can you clear trees, or just brush?
Brush and small trees, yes — cedar, mesquite, scrub and saplings are exactly what our equipment is for, and the excavator digs out smaller stumps so they don't sprout back. Big mature timber is a different class of job that wants bigger machinery, and if that's what your land needs we'll tell you straight at the walk-through.
What happens to all the brush?
Your choice: piled for burning once it cures (the most common and cheapest), pushed to a fence line or draw, or loaded on the dump trailer and hauled off so the property is clean when we leave. We'll talk through what fits the job at the estimate.
Will clearing tear up my ground?
Track machines spread their weight, and we run the size of equipment that clears brush without trenching your pasture doing it. There's always some disturbance where roots come out — that's the job — but we leave ground you can drive, mow and graze, and we can follow with grading if you want it dressed.
How soon can you get to my property?
Tell us where you are and what you're looking at, and we'll give you an honest read on schedule when we come walk it. Call (580) 475-7413 — the look is free and it puts a real number and a real timeline on the job.
