Land clearing is the heart of what we do around Duncan, Marlow, Comanche and across Stephens County. Give Oklahoma ground a few quiet years and it stops being pasture — cedar moves in, mesquite and briar thicken up, and one day you can't walk land you own. We clear it back: brush cut and cleaned up, small trees pushed out, the ground left open so you can actually use it — for cattle, for hunting, for a home site, or just to see your own fence line again.
We run track skid steers with a hydraulic brush cutter and a mini excavator, which is the right size of iron for most clearing in this country — big enough to move real brush, small enough not to wreck the ground doing it. Once it's clear we can keep it that way with regular brush hogging, follow with dirt work and grading, or cut in the driveway that makes the back of the property reachable.

Every clearing job starts with a walk. We look at what's actually growing — cedar you can cut, mesquite that wants digging, brush a cutter eats in an afternoon — and how the ground lies under it. Then the equipment does the arguing: the brush cutter shreds the thick stuff low, the skid steers push out what's too woody to mow, and the excavator digs where roots and smaller stumps need to come out instead of grow back.
What happens to the brush is your call. Most jobs pile it for burning — the cheapest route, and piles burn clean once they cure. Some want it pushed to a fence line or a draw. And when it needs to be gone entirely, we load the gooseneck dump trailer and haul it off, so what's left is ground, not a monument to the project.
The brush problem in Southwest Oklahoma has two names. Eastern red cedar spreads fast, drinks deep, and shades out the grass cattle need — left alone, a scattered few become a closed cedar break in a decade, and every one of them is a torch on a burn-ban day. Mesquite is the other half: thorned, deep-rooted, and stubborn about coming back unless the root gets dealt with.
Clearing that brush isn't cosmetic. Grass comes back where cedar stood, stock tanks catch water the cedars were drinking, deer and quail work edges again, and a fire has less to climb. It's the difference between land that produces and land that just sits there getting harder to fix — and the earlier it's cut, the cheaper the job is.
We're an owner-run outfit with the right equipment for most of the clearing this country needs — pasture reclaim, lot clearing, cedar and brush removal, opening up hunting ground. What we're not is a big timber operation, and we'll say so: if your job is heavy woods that wants forestry machinery, we'll tell you straight at the walk-through instead of beating up our equipment and your wallet learning it.
